WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY ABOUT DURAHUB : GARY MASON

Dear Andy,

I purchased a set of Durahubs in 2008 at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and fitted them to my one tonne trailer carrying my 4.45 Quintrex Hornet. This being my fifth boat and trailer and having tried all other options and not being satisfied with the result I was interested to see how they would hold up.

I have just returned from a trip around Australia covering over 30,000 kilometers and on all road types from main highways to low range 4x4. In the six months I was away I had two punctures on the Nissan patrols and completely destroyed both tyres on the trailer as well as breaking a set of heavy duty trailer springs in half.

The Durahubs however performed above all expectations and besides draining and refilling the hubs have required no further maintenance. I am waiting to see some sign of a leak so I can change the seals and bearings but at this point in time see no need to mess with a perfectly working system.
